Necedah Wildlife Refuge Youth Hike
Seven students joined the hike on Saturday, September 30. Despite some storms that stayed north of the refuge, a good for hiking was hard as warm and cloudy weather dominated. The kids spent plenty of time off the beaten path retrieving the errant Frisbees that they threw into the thorny bramble. Although many animals were not seen due to the loud voices of excitement, it was a pleasurable experience to see the tranquility and silence of God's creation at a nearby marsh. Friendsgiving
Ten students joined on Sunday, November 12, to assemble collection boxes and make signs for the VA Medical Center Clothing Drive, which runs from November 13 until November 26. There were some games played. The event finished with a delicious Thanksgiving-style dinner of ham, mashed potatoes, cranberry fluff salad, green bean casserole, pie, cookies, and a few other items.
