Queen of the Apostles Parish is embarking on an exciting $1.25 million expansion that will provide the space we need to continue growing our impact in Tomah and the surrounding area. Our school has flourished and grown to support from 3K through 8th grade, but we've outgrown our current facility. Meanwhile, our parish ministries deserve better than makeshift meeting spaces.

Why the Expansion?

Growing School, Limited Space

Our school has flourished, now serving students from 3K through 8th grade. As we've expanded into 7th and 8th grades, we've outgrown our current facility and lack adequate classroom space for our growing enrollment.

Parish Ministry Challenges

Currently, our parish activities are conducted in makeshift spaces that don't reflect the dignity and importance of these ministries. We've been "making do" with inadequate facilities, sometimes placing visitors learning about our faith in spaces that aren't welcoming or appropriate for spiritual formation.

Currently with offices and meeting room locations intermixed with school facilities, accessing Parish facilities during the day is difficult and can hinder school security concerns.

How it breaks down...

After working with construction companies and pulling in input from various sources we came down with the target fundraise of $1.25 million.

  • ~ $1 million for construction of the expansion based on the builder's estimate.
  • $100,000 to support inevitable overages that happen during construction. This equals about 10% of the initial estimate.
  • $150,000 to furnish the new spaces and make them useable for their intended purpose. (Desks, Chairs, Education Materials, etc)

These are not hard divisions of the budget; It will be used effectively to make sure we complete the expansion and make it ready for our school and parish.

How Can I Help?

We have $150,000 from previous fundraising efforts, but we need the support of our entire parish family to reach our goal. Every gift, regardless of size, brings us closer to this vision. Whether you can contribute $50, $500, or $5,000, your participation matters.

500 for 500 Campaign

If just 500 people commit to $500 a year for 3 years together we will raise $750,000.

One Time: $1500

Yearly: $500

Quarterly: $125

What does $42 look like?

  • One dinner out per month
  • One less streaming service + a weekly coffee
  • The cost of filling up your gas tank once


The ripple effect of your small sacrifice: Your morning coffee money helps build the classroom where a child first learns about Jesus. Your streaming service creates the space where adults discover their faith through OCIA. Your dinner out expands our community.


Marriage Mission Challenge: Couples, make this a team effort! Each partner commits $500 while competing to find the most creative sacrifices. Share your strategies and multiply the inspiration!

Recognition Opportunities

We will be creating a plaque to display in the new addition with various donor levels, as well as making some of the new spaces available for naming.
